The Baker Suite

Straight from the heart and reminiscent of a smoky, French cafe. Guitarist & vocalist John Baker and accordionist Gayle Buckby create a seductive and potent world with songs influenced by a background in jazz but with Latin, European and contemporary folk elements. Playing as a Sextet at larger gigs, the full band includes the addition of double bass, piano, viola and percussion. John Baker is a storyteller - his song writing is intimate, playful and poetic with an ambiguity that draws the listener in.
